Frenectomy

A Laser frenectomy is the removal of a frenulum, a small fold of tissue that prevents an organ in the body from moving too far. Frenectomy is a very common dental procedure that is performed on infants, children, and adults.

If your child is experiencing certain speech, eating, or orthodontic problems, your dentist may recommend conducting a frenectomy. This procedure removes the connective tissue at either the top or the bottom of the mouth, helping to correct these problems. Lasers have made frenectomies safe, painless and convenient option for patients of all ages.
